Semi-truck crash causes road closure in New Mexico

A semi-truck crashed into a railroad bridge in Grants, New Mexico, on Wednesday night, causing significant disruptions.

The incident: The accident occurred on September 18th on Fifth Street between Santa Fe Avenue and San Jose Drive. The truck tried to squeeze under the bridge and got stuck, damaging the trailer.

  • The road will stay closed until crews clear the wreckage and inspect the bridge for any structural damage.
  • According to KOB 4 News, inspections will also determine when trains can start running on the bridge again.

No injuries: Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident, but the crash is under investigation by local authorities.
