Drowsy truck driver rolls over on I-15 in Utah

A semi-truck driver fell asleep while hauling double trailers, leading to a rollover crash on I-15 in Pintura, Utah on the morning of September 18.

The incident: The truck, hauling for FedEx, sideswiped another semi before overcorrecting and overturning. The crash happened around Exit 33.

  • Both trailers ended up on the grassy shoulder, causing minimal traffic disruption.
  • The driver and his co-driver were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Clean-up crews are working to drag the trailers through a roadside fence, reported Fox 13 News.
