Drowsy FedEx driver overturns truck on I-15 in Utah

No one was seriously hurt after a truck driver fell asleep while hauling doubles and sideswiped another semi-truck on September 18th.

The crash: Happened in the morning on northbound I-15 in Pintura, Utah. A FedEx driver hauling double trailers began to fall asleep and sideswiped another semi. In an attempt to correct, the FedEx truck overturned.

Both trailers overturned on the grassy shoulder, causing minimal impact on traffic.
The driver and co-driver were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Immediate aftermath: Officials closed Exit 33 as they planned to drag the trailers back through a roadside fence during cleanup efforts. No additional injuries were reported according to Fox 13.
