Drowsy FedEx driver overturns truck on I-15 in Utah

No one was seriously hurt after a truck driver fell asleep while hauling doubles and sideswiped another semi-truck on September 18th.

The crash: Happened in the morning on northbound I-15 in Pintura, Utah. A FedEx driver hauling double trailers began to fall asleep and sideswiped another semi. In an attempt to correct, the FedEx truck overturned.

  • Both trailers overturned on the grassy shoulder, causing minimal impact on traffic.
  • The driver and co-driver were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Immediate aftermath: Officials closed Exit 33 as they planned to drag the trailers back through a roadside fence during cleanup efforts. No additional injuries were reported according to Fox 13.
