FedEx truck overturns on I-15 after driver falls asleep

On the morning of September 18th, a FedEx truck driver hauling double trailers fell asleep while driving on northbound I-15 in Pintura, Utah.

The incident: The truck sideswiped another semi-truck and overcorrected, causing both trailers to overturn onto the grassy shoulder.

  • The incident happened at exit 33 and resulted in minimal traffic disruption.
  • Both the driver and his co-driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials are working on clearing the site by dragging the trailers back through a roadside fence as part of the cleanup efforts, according to Fox 13 News.
