Wyoming troopers ramp up roadside inspections on US 85

Wyoming Highway Patrol has kicked off new roadside commercial vehicle inspections, starting August 1 with a detail on US 85 between Torrington and Cheyenne.

The latest: Troopers made contact with more than two dozen drivers during this first operation. Seven full inspections were completed.

  • One truck and one driver were placed out-of-service during the August 1 detail.
  • Wyoming Highway Patrol says more of these roadside inspections will be held at different spots throughout the state in the next few weeks.
