Winter weather forces two semis off I-65 into home

Two semi trucks slipped off Interstate 65 and crashed into a home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, on the morning of February 20.

The details: Treacherous winter weather created hazardous driving conditions, forcing the trucks off the road.

The first truck hit the front of a house on Hawkins Drive.
The second truck stopped in the yard of the same property.

Thankfully, there were no serious injuries reported, according to WDRB News.

Current situation: Hawkins Drive has been closed for several hours while crews work to clear the scene.

What's next: There is no current estimate on when the road will reopen, but work continues to resolve the issue safely and quickly.
