Undocumented migrants found in semi-truck by Texas border agents

Six undocumented migrants were discovered concealed within a semi truck at a Texas checkpoint, the Laredo Morning Times reports.

What happened: On February 4th, at approximately 5 p.m., border agents at the Interstate 35 checkpoint found five migrants hidden under a sleeper mattress and one locked inside a cabinet after inspecting the truck driven by Iram Garcia Ledezma who initially claimed he was traveling solo to San Antonio.

Driver's stance: Ledezma, who refused to comment without legal representation, has been charged with the transport and conspiracy to transport undocumented individuals.
