Trucker tragically crushed against dock at Texas plant

A tragic accident occurred at a bottling plant in Seguin, Texas, when a truck driver was fatally crushed against a loading dock. The incident took place on Thursday, January 23rd around 6:40 p.m.

The details: The driver, identified as 39-year-old Arlen Vargas from Houston, had just guided another truck into the loading dock. Moments later, he was found pinned against the dock door.

  • Employees at the plant, along with police officers, attempted CPR on Vargas, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • The Seguin Police Department is investigating the situation, and no criminal charges have been filed as of now.

What they're saying: "Our hearts go out to the individuals and families impacted by this accident," the Niagara Bottling plant stated while confirming their cooperation with the investigation reported The Seguin Gazette.

Police spokesperson Stephanie Larrimore noted the unusual circumstances of Vargas being out of his vehicle so close to the loading area, indicating the ongoing nature of the investigation.
