Trucker sentenced for stealing trailer of Mike's Hard Lemonade

A trucker from New Rochelle was sentenced to six months for filching a trailer loaded with Mike's Hard Lemonade from a Yonkers lot off I-87 last year.

The details: Kelvin Garcia Liriano, aged 28, admitted to grand larceny after stealing the trailer containing beverages worth over $32,000 on March 21, 2023.

  • The semi loaded with 1,560 cases of the drink was pinched around 1:15 a.m. and found empty in Brooklyn later on.
  • Liriano faces six months behind bars, five years' probation, and must cough up restitution of $42,793.76.

Liriano's arrest followed a joint effort by the New York State Police, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Criminal Investigator Squad, and local law enforcement, reported by Patch.

He was nabbed in the Bronx on April 17, 2023, and entered a guilty plea in November before receiving his sentence at the end of February.
