Trucker miraculously survives severe crash with tanker truck

A trucker hauling steel pipes is miraculously alive after a severe crash with a tanker truck in Lufkin, Texas. The crash happened at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, on U.S. 59 south near Southwood Drive/FM 324.

What happened: The tanker truck entered a northbound crossover, cutting into the path of the semi truck hauling 25-foot steel pipes. This collision caused the semi to lose its load and mangled the cab.

  • The trucker was briefly trapped in the wrecked cab but was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries. He did not need to stay overnight.
  • The tanker truck driver also survived without serious injury.

A miracle: "The Texas troopers said they have no idea how Brian survived the crash but I do!!! God was not only riding in the passenger seat but was totally wrapped around Brian holding him in his arms!!” said Amanda Guthrie, wife of the trucker hauling the steel pipes.

Thankfully, both drivers are okay, and the trucker went home with just cuts and bruises.
