Trucker miraculously survives devastating crash in Texas

A truck driver in Lufkin, Texas, miraculously survived a devastating crash on Wednesday morning.

The incident: The collision happened around 8 a.m. on September 18 on U.S. 59 near Southwood Drive/FM 324.

  • A tanker truck entering a northbound crossover drove into the path of a semi hauling 25-foot steel pipes.
  • The impact caused the semi to lose its load and left the driver's cab mangled.

The driver, temporarily pinned inside the wrecked cab, was taken to the hospital but only suffered minor injuries. "A truly miraculous outcome considering the state of his cab," said the Lufkin Police Department.

A wife's gratitude: The driver's wife, Amanda Guthrie, shared a heartfelt message on social media, praising God for her husband's survival.

The tanker truck driver also avoided serious injury. Police continue to investigate the accident.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, and everyone made it out safely from the crash.
