Trucker killed in I-75 hit-and-run after semi crash

Early Wednesday morning, August 13, a deadly hit-and-run happened on I-75 northbound at South Marietta Parkway in Marietta, Georgia.

The details: Police say 36-year-old Terrell Lowdermilk, a trucker from Tennessee, was on foot after being involved in a crash with another semi. While outside his truck in the left lane of the entrance ramp, he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup, model year 2019–2022, which took off after the collision.

  • Lowdermilk died at the scene.
  • Officers are searching for the driver of the pickup, which did not stop.
  • Anyone with information is asked to call Officer D. Lester at 770-794-5352.

The Marietta Police Department is asking for help to bring answers to Lowdermilk’s family.
