Trucker found dead in sleeper at Iowa travel plaza

A trucker in his late twenties was found dead inside the cab of his truck at the Meskwaki Travel Plaza off Highway 30 in Iowa earlier this month.

What happened: The Meskwaki Nation Police Department responded to a call about an unresponsive man at the travel plaza near Meskwaki Settlement on June 6.

Officers discovered the young driver deceased in the sleeper berth of his truck.
The man's body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office to figure out the cause of death.
Police say they found no evidence of foul play.

The driver’s name has not yet been shared publicly. As of June 12, officials were still waiting for autopsy results.
