Timeline: The sad discovery happened on March 28th, when deputies responded to a welfare check request from the driver’s company at Love’s Travel Stop in Syracuse, Nebraska.

The Otoe County Sheriff's Office found the trucker, 67-year-old Norman Battista from Indiana, deceased inside the cab of his semi-truck.
They needed assistance from a towing company to unlock and access the truck.

No foul play suspected: Authorities have stated that there appears to be no signs of criminal activity. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
