Trucker arrested after red light crash injures two in Texas

On Tuesday, July 29, a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck happened at the intersection of Highway 59 and Loop 390 in Marshall, Texas.

What happened: Police say a truck driver, Kenneth Janowski, drove his semi through a red light and hit a pickup hauling an empty horse trailer.

  • Two people in the pickup were hurt and taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not been shared yet.
  • The truck crash also spilled diesel fuel onto the road and into a drainage ditch. Hazmat crews came out to clean up the fuel.

The charges: Janowski, 59, was arrested at the scene. He faces two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle after the crash, according to KLTV.

The case is still under investigation. No other details have been released by police.
