Truck driver put out-of-service for watching video on I-10

On July 4, 2025, Arizona troopers stopped a commercial truck near Eloy on I-10 after clocking it going 75 mph.

What troopers found: The driver was reportedly watching a YouTube video behind the wheel. Officers say this wasn't the first violation—the driver was already under a federal out-of-service order.

  • Both the driver and the truck were put out-of-service on the spot.
  • The driver was also given a citation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

AZDPS said they stopped another truck that same day for cellphone use but did not release further details on that stop.

No injuries or crashes were reported related to either stop.
