Troopers remind drivers to slow down after tow truck crash

An Ohio trooper's dash cam captured a crash on I-71 in Warren County on January 6, involving a car and a tow truck.

Crash details: The vehicle was moving too fast and hit the tow truck, which was handling roadside assistance during winter weather. Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) shared the footage to remind drivers to slow down and move over near emergency vehicles.
OSHP stated, "Move over if you can, but if you can’t because of roadway or traffic conditions, then you must slow down!”

Safety advice: Drivers are urged to exercise caution when they see flashing lights of any color on the roadside.

The incident highlights the risks that fast-moving cars pose to roadside workers, making it essential for all drivers to be vigilant, especially in challenging weather conditions.

Thankfully, everyone involved made it through without injuries.
