Train collision with semi-truck carrying military vehicle caught on video

A dramatic video captured a train slamming into a semi-truck carrying a military tank in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The incident happened on September 12 at around 12:30 p.m.

The details: The truck, towing a lowboy trailer, got stuck on the tracks while trying to navigate around a railroad crossing gate. The trailer was loaded with a U.S. military M109 howitzer.

  • The crash caused the military vehicle to spin around and led to the road being closed for several hours.
  • The truck driver managed to jump out of the vehicle about five seconds before the train hit. Luckily, no one was injured.

The Goose Creek Police Department confirmed there were no injuries. The driver of the truck refused treatment.
