TGS Logistics shuts down after 40 years serving California ports

TGS Logistics, a family-owned trucking company based in Fresno, California, has officially shut down after operating for 40 years.

The announcement: On July 31, 2025, the company shared it would close its doors immediately. Leaders at TGS pointed to tough market conditions as the main reason for parking their trucks for good.

  • TGS started in 1985 as a small brokerage and grew into a drayage carrier serving the ports of Oakland, LA, and Long Beach.
  • The company had about 20 trucks and 20 drivers, according to data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s SAFER website.

Management thanked workers and drivers for sticking with the company, especially over the challenging past year and a half.
