A Tennessee man was arrested for firing a gun at truck drivers over the noise from Jake Brakes on Thursday, February 6, 2025, according to the Carter County Sheriff's Office.
The incident: Thomas Robert Gambrel, 47, reportedly fired six shots to "frighten" truckers on Landfill Road in Elizabethton.
- Two dump truck drivers heard gunshots as they stopped to talk and called 911 immediately.
- One driver noted the same man had threatened to shoot if truckers continued to use Jake Brakes near his home.
The arrest: Deputies found six spent shell casings at Gambrel's residence and arrested him after he admitted to firing out of frustration.
