Stolen semi truck crashes in dramatic Texas police chase

A tense police chase involving a stolen semi truck concluded dramatically in Boerne, Texas, on October 6, 2024.

What happened: Eric Lee Hudson, 42, was arrested after leading deputies on a pursuit following an armed robbery. He was driving a white semi truck taken from California.

  • KCSO deputies initially stopped Hudson on IH-10 near mile marker 523, but he refused to comply and fled.
  • Spike strips deployed by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office disabled the truck's front tires.
  • The chase ended when Hudson lost control and crashed into Lockaway Storage facility.

No injuries reported: Luckily, no one was hurt in the crash, and Hudson is now facing charges of Evading Arrest and Theft.

What's next: The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office recovered a cash drawer from the robbery and is continuing the investigation.
