Speeding pickup driver dies in crash with semi truck

Early Monday morning, a fatal crash involving a semi truck and a pickup truck halted traffic in Miami Gardens, Florida.

What happened: The collision occurred at the intersection of NW Miami Court and NW 183 Street, right outside the Publix warehouse.

  • At around 3 a.m., the semi truck was turning left when a speeding Ford F-250 failed to stop and crashed into the trailer.
  • The driver of the pickup, identified as 39-year-old Christopher Bolden, was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • The semi truck driver was unharmed.

The scene: Video footage and police presence at the site revealed that the intersection was blocked for hours following the accident.

Ongoing investigation: Authorities are still investigating the details surrounding the crash to determine what factors led up to it, as reported by NBC Miami.

Thankfully, no other injuries were reported as a result of the tragic incident.
