A snowstorm in Minnesota last Wednesday led to over 400 accidents, including a tragic one involving a semi truck and a pickup.
The incident: The snowstorm resulted in hazardous road conditions across the state on April 2. More than 400 crashes and spinouts were recorded.
- A fatal accident occurred on Highway 48 near Hinckley when 67-year-old Gary Eugene Thompson lost control of his pickup and collided with an oncoming semi truck.
- The pickup and the semi ended up in a ditch. Thompson, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, died in the crash. The truck driver was unharmed.
- In total, the storm resulted in 161 crashes with vehicle damage and 22 injury-related accidents, according to Bring Me The News.
