Snakes used in unusual Tennessee truck stop robbery

Earlier this week, an unusual robbery took place at a Tennessee truck stop. A group of men used snakes to scare employees and steal from a Citgo Truck and Auto Plaza in Denmark, Tennessee.

What happened: The men entered the store, waving pet pythons around to intimidate staff.

  • According to one employee, Mayur Raval, they grabbed about $400 worth of CDL oil from the counter.
  • The snakes, one white and one brown, were used as weapons to frighten the workers.

The getaway: The men drove a small sedan with bungee cords securing the trunk, quickly leaving the scene.

Investigation: The Madison County Sheriff's Office is analyzing surveillance footage to identify the suspects.

No injuries were reported during the incident, but the community is on alert, with authorities seeking public assistance to solve the case. The incident happened at a well-known truck stop, a place where truckers gather for rest and services, reported WDTN 2 News.
