Semi’s u-turn on Ohio highway forces pickup driver’s quick move

On US 23 southbound near Circleville, Ohio, a dash cam caught video of a semi truck making a u-turn across the highway, blocking the lanes on September 10, 2025.

What happened: The semi truck stopped in the crossover, waiting for a safe time to merge onto the northbound side. A pickup truck behind the semi had to slam on the brakes and cut into the crossover to avoid hitting the trailer.

  • The pickup driver backed up to return to the highway, then waited for the semi to finish the u-turn.
  • As the semi found an opening and drove away, the pickup driver flipped off the trucker before getting back on the road.

Unlike a recent fatal wreck in Florida with a similar start, this situation ended without any crashes or injuries reported.
