Semi truck plunges off highway near Lodi, no injuries

A semi truck crashed off State Route 99 near Lodi, California, on April 23, separating its cab from the trailer.

What happened: The crash happened around 10 a.m. near Armstrong Road. The truck ended up in Pixley Slough.

  • Images showed the cab on its side below the highway, apart from the trailer.
  • The driver managed to get out by himself, and thankfully, there were no injuries.

Response: The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Waterloo Morada Fire District quickly arrived on the scene.

  • A Hazmat team was called in to handle potential spills.

Emergency crews worked efficiently to ensure the area was safe and clear of hazards. There was no significant harm or damage beyond the crash scene.
