Semi truck involved in deadly hit-and-run on I-95 in Florida

A serious hit-and-run crash on Friday morning in Palm Bay, Florida, left two surveyors dead on Interstate 95. This accident, involving a semi truck, happened around 9:50 a.m.

The incident: The semi truck hit the surveyors who were standing on the shoulder near their vehicle. It then fled the scene, turning a tragic accident into an urgent police matter.

  • Both men were pronounced dead at the site.

Investigation: Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers sprang into action, closing all southbound lanes of I-95 to launch a search for the truck. They caught the suspect further south on the same highway, in Palm Beach County.
