On Wednesday, June 25, police in Ontario stopped a commercial vehicle on Highway 88 at Highway 400 in Bradford for a roadside inspection.
The situation: The driver had filled out a pre-trip report stating that there were "no issues" with the truck. But police with the Aurora OPP found something different.
- Inspectors discovered six tires that were in bad shape and needed to be replaced before the truck could get back on the road.
- There was no mention from police if any tickets or charges were given to the driver.
Photos shared by OPP showed visible tire damage, with officers saying the truck could not continue without fixing the problem, according to OPP Highway Safety Division.
