Truckers, prepare for another "superload" in Ohio starting this weekend.
The details: The load, measuring 17 feet, 4 inches tall, 18 feet wide, and 86 feet long, weighs 129,000 pounds. It will travel from Adams County to Licking County, beginning Friday, September 13th, and arriving on Sunday, September 15th.
The route: The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has outlined the specific path for this load:
- Friday, September 13: The journey starts at 8:15 a.m., moving through Adams, Scioto, Pike, and Ross counties. It will be stored overnight at the Ross County Fairgrounds.
- Saturday, September 14: The load resumes at 9 a.m., traveling through Ross, Pickaway, and Franklin counties, and stopping overnight at Rickenbacker.
- Sunday, September 15: Starting at 6:30 a.m., it continues through Franklin, Fairfield, and Licking counties to its final destination.
The move is part of a series of nearly two dozen superloads destined for a new Intel plant. This load is noted as the smallest among them, according to an ODOT advisory.
Traffic impact: ODOT will implement rolling roadblocks but no full closures are expected. Emergency vehicles will always have a path through.
