Police warn truckers about new fake equipment company scam

Police in Garden City, Idaho, put out a warning on October 27, 2025, about a fake company that’s pretending to sell semi trucks and equipment for $10,000.

The scam: Officers say the business calls itself “Truck Trailor & Equipment” and has a website and supposed business address in Garden City—but the address is not real.

  • The fake company is reaching out to people across the Treasure Valley, making the scam seem legit.
  • Police say, if you get a call like this, hang up, block the number, and don’t give out any personal information.

What to do: Anyone who is contacted by this “business” is asked to report it to their local law enforcement.

As of now, there are no reports that any truckers have lost money to the scam, but the warning is still active for the area.
