A Dearborn man was arrested after a police chase in a semi truck that stretched over three days earlier this month.
What happened: Around 5:45 a.m. on June 7, police in Dearborn, Michigan, answered a call about a domestic assault at a home on Argyle Street. When officers arrived, the suspect, Ali Ahmed Zbib, 55, left the area and got into a semi truck parked nearby.
- Police caught up to Zbib in a parking lot on Michigan Avenue. As they tried to approach, he put the truck in reverse, then drove forward and hit a patrol car before taking off again.
- The police chased him for a while, but stopped due to the dangerous driving. The search went on for two more days.
- Zbib was finally arrested on June 9 in Detroit after officers spotted his truck.
The charges: Zbib faces charges of domestic violence, third-degree fleeing and eluding, and damaging police property. His bond was set at $100,000, and his next court date is June 18, according to CBS Detroit.
