Pickup driver's mistake causes semi truck pileup on I-44

A dash cam captured a wild incident when a pickup truck driver caused chaos on Interstate 44 in Oklahoma, leading to a 9-vehicle pileup on the morning of October 23.

How it unfolded: The driver of a white pickup truck wasn't paying attention and hit an SUV. This sent it careening into a nearby semi truck, impacting the semi's steering.

  • The semi, unable to control its course, collided with several other vehicles in the stopped traffic line.
  • The crash resulted in two people being injured and taken to the hospital, though thankfully with non-life-threatening injuries.

Driving concern: The Oklahoma Highway Patrol took to social media, urging drivers to stay alert and pay attention while on the road.

Even with the significant damage involved, just two individuals required medical attention, and both are expected to recover.
