A pickup truck driver was charged with endangerment after causing a semi to hang over the Ohio River, reported WHAS11.
The incident: On March 1st, the pickup struck a stalled electric vehicle on the Clark Memorial Bridge, veering into oncoming traffic and hitting a Sysco semi truck. The impact left the semi's cab dangling dangerously above the river.
- Truck driver Sydney Thomas was trapped for 45 minutes but was rescued without injury by Louisville Fire Department.
- Trevor Branham, the pickup truck driver, faces multiple charges and was also injured in the crash.
The charges: Branham is accused of wanton endangerment and driving with a suspended license. His bond was set at $20,000.
Despite the risk, the swift actions of the first responders helped avoid a potential tragedy. Branham is expected to return to court on May 15th.
