Details: The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when the trooper's vehicle was parked about 20 feet off I-10 for paperwork related to a prior crash.

The Dodge Ram going westbound left the road, colliding with the trooper's cruiser at considerable speed.
The impact sent the cruiser an additional 60 feet from the road.

Injuries: The state trooper was taken to the hospital with potential head injuries but luckily, the pickup driver walked away unharmed.

Legal action: Arizona DPS arrested the pickup driver. They face DUI and other felony charges.
