A man from Illinois was arrested on June 25th after pointing a handgun at a semi truck driver during a road rage encounter south of Lincoln, Nebraska.
What happened: The incident took place around 1:30 p.m. near Highway 2 and Highway 77. The truck driver told police that a man in a black Ford F150 aimed a handgun at him while both vehicles were driving side-by-side.
- Deputies later found the pickup truck and spoke with the driver, 39-year-old Jacob Gumm.
- Gumm admitted he was upset, claiming the semi tried to cut him off multiple times, so he pointed his gun at the trucker and rolled down his window.
- Deputies found a loaded Glock 23 handgun in his vehicle, according to 1011 Now.
The fallout: Gumm was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail. He faces one count of making terroristic threats. His bond was set at $3,000, and his next court date is scheduled for July 24th.
