A Port Authority police officer was struck by a tractor-trailer early Monday morning near the George Washington Bridge.
What happened: At around 3:45 a.m. on September 16, the officer stopped the truck after noticing it had two flat rear tires.
- When the officer returned to his patrol car, the truck rolled forward, striking the officer and his vehicle.
- The officer was taken to a local hospital. His current condition is not clear.
Port Authority Police say the truck driver failed to engage the brakes, leading to the incident, reported News 12 New Jersey.
