New TA locations in Houston and Alabama add 140 truck spaces

Truckers in Houston and Alabama have new spots to take a break, thanks to TravelCenters of America (TA) opening two new locations this November.

Where to find them:

  • In Houston, the TA Express store is located at 4808 N. McCarty Street, right off I-610 at mile marker 24.
  • The Birmingham, Alabama location is at 901 Bankhead Hwy — both sites are now open.

Amenities on hand:

  • Both locations feature truck parking with over 70 spaces each.
  • Essential amenities include diesel fueling positions, private showers, and laundry facilities.

Why it matters: These new additions expand TA's network of rest stops across the U.S., providing much-needed places for drivers to recharge.

About the expansion: These openings follow TA's new site launches in Minnesota as well, reported TravelCenters of America.

Drivers can find Miss J’s Café at the Houston stop along with other essential services to ensure a comfortable break on long hauls.
