Miami man accused of stealing freightliner packed with poultry

A Miami man, Raul Bello, was arrested October 2nd for allegedly stealing a freightliner filled with $100,000 worth of assorted frozen poultry.

The details: The truck and trailer were reportedly taken on September 15th from a location near the owner’s home on Old State Road 9.

  • License plate readers picked up the stolen truck on Interstate 95 shortly after the theft.
  • A white Nissan, driven by Bello, was spotted following the truck and later found at a Miami apartment complex.

The charges: Bello faces charges of grand theft of cargo, grand theft of a vehicle, and unlawful use of a communications device.

  • He is held without bond at the Metrowest Detention Center.
  • Bello was already on probation for prior charges, including burglary and weapon possession, reported Local10.
