Kenworth and Peterbilt truck owners warned of recall risks

PACCAR is recalling over 1,100 Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks because of a potential problem with the throttle pedal. This could lead to crashes.

The reason: Trucks might have an oversized magnet carrier. This can slow down the pedal's response or make it stick.

  • Affected models include 2023-2024 Kenworth T180, T280, T380, T480, and Peterbilt 535, 536, 537, 548.

Owner action: Owners will get notifications by March 17, 2025. Dealers will inspect and replace the pedal if needed, for free, reported NHTSA documents.

For help, Kenworth owners can call 1-425-828-5888, and Peterbilt owners can dial 1-940-591-4220. No injuries have been reported related to this issue.
