'Ice Pick Bandit' strikes truck stop in Tennessee

Vandals slashed tires on eight semi-trucks at a TA Travel Center in Denmark, Tennessee, on the night of September 26. This incident, attributed to the ‘Ice Pick Bandit,’ resulted in 56 destroyed tires.

The details: The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating after receiving calls at about 8 a.m. regarding the vandalism.

One truck had all 18 of its tires slashed.
Similar incidents have occurred at other truck stops in Tennessee and in Arkansas.

The punctures in the tires were small and consistent, showing similar marks on all affected vehicles. Each tire damaged in these incidents is estimated to cost around $500.
