HEB trucker Homer Flores drives 4 million miles safely

An extraordinary achievement has been reached by an HEB trucker named Homer Flores. Flores has safely driven over 4 million miles without a single accident over 33 years.

The milestone: Flores completed his remarkable journey from Kingsville to Corpus Christi, Texas, marking his 4 million accident-free miles. Friends, family, and fellow truckers gathered to celebrate his success.

  • Starting his trucking career in 1989, Flores had previously worked inside an HEB before hitting the road.
  • Flores, known by his CB handle "Laredo Kid," has also offered help during natural disasters, delivering crucial supplies across Texas.

In his words: "Keep your eyes open and stay out of trouble," says Flores. His journey is not just about miles but demonstrating professionalism and dedication to safety.

Company praise: Todd Wright, HEB's Senior VP of Transportation, expressed admiration, noting that Flores's achievement is almost unbelievable. "We’re incredibly proud of Homer and all our drivers. We truly have the best team in all the industry," he said, according to an HEB press release.

This incredible feat is a testament to Flores's skills and shows how essential truck drivers are to our everyday lives.
