Former trucker seriously injured in road rage attack

A West Houston man, Ibrahim, was seriously hurt in an apparent road rage incident involving a semi truck on January 9.

The incident: Ibrahim, a former trucker with over 40 years of experience, was driving home when the truck behind him started swerving and speeding.

  • He stopped at a red light on Clay Road and Blalock Road to speak with the truck driver.
  • Before he could speak, he was reportedly knocked unconscious.

Injuries: Ibrahim was hospitalized with eight stitches, a broken jaw, and internal bleeding.

The investigation: The case is with the Houston police major assaults unit. No further details have emerged about the truck driver, who may have been a contractor, reported ABC13.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Houston police as Ibrahim seeks answers for the attack. He hopes to learn why the driver reacted violently.
