Florida dump truck drivers accused of limestone load theft

Two dump truck drivers from Florida are facing charges for stealing several loads of crushed limestone meant for a big construction job at the Florida Keys Marathon International Airport.

The details: Frank Quintana Marcos of Miami was arrested on October 14, 2025. An arrest warrant is out for Manuel Antonio Periera Clara from Hialeah.

  • Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the two took multiple, 22-ton loads of limestone starting in June 2025.
  • The limestone, worth over $10,000, was supposed to go to an airport contractor but was never delivered.
  • Officials say the drivers got paid, but then doctored records to hide the missing shipments.

Anyone with information about Periera Clara’s location is asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Unit in Marathon at 305-289-2430.
