Firefighters worked for more than six hours to handle a stubborn fire at a trucking business in Lincoln, Illinois, on June 25.

The incident: The fire started just after noon at Lincoln Transload and Processing on 5th Street. Flames began in the basement and moved up through the duct work, filling the whole building with smoke.

  • One firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion, but no other injuries happened.

What they're saying: The Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District thanked everyone who helped, saying crews spent "over 6 hours in the heat to get the fire extinguished," according to WCIA.
