FedEx truck rollover on I-15 after driver falls asleep

A FedEx truck driver hauling double trailers fell asleep and caused a rollover crash on I-15 in Pintura, Utah, on September 18th.

What happened: The driver started dozing off while his co-driver rested, leading to the truck sideswiping another semi. The impact caused him to overcorrect, resulting in the rig overturning.

The crash blocked the roadway at Exit 33 and led to both trailers ending up on the grassy shoulder.

  • Both the driver and co-driver were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
  • The trailers need to be dragged back through a roadside fence for cleanup, according to Fox 13.

No serious injuries were reported, and traffic impact was minimal.
