Drowsy FedEx driver causes double trailer rollover on I-15

A FedEx truck hauling double trailers overturned on northbound I-15 at exit 33 in Pintura, Utah, early on the morning of September 18.

The incident: The driver dozed off, sideswiping another semi before overcorrecting and causing the rig to overturn. Both trailers ended up on the grassy shoulder.

Injuries: Fortunately, the driver and his co-driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Fox 13 News.

Traffic impact: The accident had minimal impact on traffic, as the overturned trailers were off the main roadway. Cleanup involved dragging the trailers back through a roadside fence.

The bottom line: Both drivers are expected to recover from their injuries.
