Family of three missing after 22-vehicle pileup on I-40

A family of three has vanished on I-40 in Arizona, where a serious 22-vehicle pileup recently occurred.

The details: Junghee Kim, 54, Taehee Kim, 59, and Jiyeon Lee, 33, have been missing since March 13, 2025. Their disappearance coincides with a major accident near Williams, Arizona.

  • The crash took place near mile marker 159.5 on I-40 west during severe winter weather.
  • This accident claimed two lives and left 16 others injured.
  • Investigators are unsure if the missing individuals were involved in the crash.

Tracking the family: The family's rental car, a 2024 BMW, was last pinged by GPS on westbound I-40 shortly before 3:30 p.m. the same day.

What to know: Authorities are urging anyone with information about the family to contact the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office or Silent Witness.
