Deadly shootout at Virginia truck stop injures officers

A tragic incident unfolded on March 28, 2025, at a Virginia truck stop, resulting in the death of a truck driver and injuries to two deputies. The event began with a pursuit of a suspect wanted for a previous shooting.

The sequence of events: Edmond Johnson, 29, linked to a Greensboro, NC shooting, was located at a Love’s Truck Stop in Carroll County, VA by local sheriff's deputies.
