Antique truck crashes into building on Route 17

A unique situation unfolded on Monday, October 7, around midnight in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, as an antique truck being towed on Route 17 south unexpectedly separated from its tow vehicle.

The incident: Firefighters from the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department swiftly responded to the scene where the antique truck collided with a building, specifically Miraj Corp., which is involved in aircraft parts supply.

  • The collision caused significant damage to the structure, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Response: The Wood-Ridge Fire Department joined the efforts to manage the situation, particularly addressing a fuel spill that resulted from the crash.

Thankfully, despite the unusual circumstances, everyone involved emerged without harm.
