Almost every truck hit with violation in Florida check

Florida Highway Patrol and Osceola County Sheriff’s Office joined forces on Canoe Creek Road this week to check commercial vehicles. They inspected a total of 26 trucks during the effort.

What they found:

  • 25 trucks were hit with weight violations.
  • Three rigs were taken out of service because of safety concerns.

One truck in particular: FHP called out a vehicle for having a list of problems, including no trailer registration, expired registration, a cracked frame, wrong license plate, busted headlamp, cracked windshield, cargo not secured, and missing inspection.

According to FHP, “CVE is about Safety! Thank CVE-Orlando for removing this unsafe vehicle off of Florida Roadways.” Officers said a good pre-trip might have prevented these issues.

The checks took place on November 6. Out of 26 trucks looked at, only one left with no violation.
